Denmark and Israel launch PPH pilot

10 January 2012

Patent applicants in Denmark and Japan will be able to fast track their applications through a patent prosecution highway between the IP offices of the two countries.

The Danish Patent and Trademark Office (DKPTO) and the Israeli Patent Office (ILPO) launched a pilot PPH programme on January 5.

The pilot means that an applicant who receives an Office Action from the DKPTO or ILPO stating that at least one claim in a patent application has novelty, inventive step, and industrial applicability can ask the other patent office to fast track the examination of corresponding claims in the corresponding applications.
