I am a senior associate in our Intellectual Property Group in The Hague and work at the forefront of our Retail & Consumer Group.
I specialise in soft IP matters – focusing mainly on product design and trademark law – but also have experience with international patent disputes.
Within our Retail & Consumer Group, I work with my colleagues across the lines of practice groups and national offices. That way we can deliver truly effective cross-jurisdictional advice and litigation strategies. I greatly enjoy this synergy that comes with working in international teams.
Working in groups also allows us to pool our knowledge and give clients the very best advice, which not only takes care of legal matters but also keeps in mind the business side of things. Every day I allocate some of my time to staying up to date on what is happening in the retail sector, with a special interest in fashion and luxury. This allows me to supplement the experience that I've gained from the fashion and product design cases that I've handled at Bird & Bird.
I have been recognised by Legal 500 as a Rising Star for Trade Marks, Copyrights and Design Rights (2023), an IP Trailblazer in WIPR's Diversity Issue 2021, and I was one of the winners of the Rising Stars Awards EMEA 2022 for Copyright.
