I am an IP lawyer advising clients from a range of IP-rich industries on copyright-, trademark-, and other IP related matters.
Both non-contentious work and dispute resolution are part of my practice. This leads to a thorough understanding of matters from start to finish. I regularly advise clients in the media and entertainment sector, on IP-protection, infringement and regulatory topics, as well as contracting with IP. Copyright is of particular interest to me, both in terms of substance (what can be protected and what is infringing?) as well as copyright related platform regulation.
Each case is different. In addition to handling national IP matters, we are more than well-equipped to handle matters which involve multiple jurisdictions. I collaborate with lawyers in our other offices around the world on a daily basis, offering our clients seamless cross-jurisdictional advice and a one-stop-shop approach.
Recently, we have seen the rise of generative AI challenge legal frameworks, such as current copyright legislation. The area of tension between, on the one hand, being able to instantly generate output and, on the other hand, protecting IP rights, is thought provoking. I enjoy working on such complex (and also more straightforward) legal IP issues.
