I am a partner in our Intellectual Property Group and head of our Dutch Life Sciences Group based in The Hague, where I specialise in patents and other IP rights, particularly trade marks.
I have over 20 years' experience and knowledge of cross-border European patent litigation, predominantly in the life sciences and chemical industries, for clients as diverse as multinational corporations, universities and start-ups. In the pharmaceutical sector, I have litigated many patent cases concerning blockbuster drugs.
My practice also includes advising clients on their strategic preparations for the Unitary Patent Package – the Unitary Patent and Unified Patent Court – and on complex multidisciplinary and IP-related deals and disputes involving cutting edge technologies. In addition to litigating before the Dutch courts, I have also represented clients before the European Court of Justice.
I am a member of several professional organisations, such as the International Trademark Association and the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property. I am also a member of the IP Expert Group of HollandBIO, the Dutch association for the biotech industry.
