Mathias Loqvist joined Rouse in September 2023 and has 25 years of experience in the patent field qualifying as a European Patent Attorney in 2004. Mathias has had several management positions at IP law firms over the last 15 years and for the last 10, Mathias was managing partner and head of the patent department at a Stockholm-based IP law firm with around 40 employees. Mathias is specialises in medical technology, energy and manufacturing technology and software. In addition, he has advised clients in due-diligence, IP strategies and patent valuation.
In addition to his extensive experience in drafting work (e.g. 100+ patent applications for St. Jude Medical and Elekta AB) and prosecution, he is a seasoned practitioner in litigation, appeal and opposition cases. For example, Mathias has been involved in major patent infringement cases at the Stockholm Patent and Market Court such as Valmet vs. Andritz and Sandvik vs. MAQ AB. Mathias has also been hired as an interim patent manager by Valmet AB and Elekta AB.
