Quinn Emanuel hires arbitration partners in London

Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan has continued its European recruitment drive by hiring arbitration partners Anthony Sinclair and Stephen Jagusch from Allen & Overy in London

Sinclair, a specialist in international arbitration and public international law, joins this month. However Jagusch, the chair of Allen & Overy's global arbitration practice, will not start until early next year due to contractual obligations.

The further addition to the London team of Epaminontas Triantafilou, formerly of the US Permanent Court of Arbitration, brings the number of arbitration specialists hired by the firm in the past year to seven.

These hires tie in with other moves Quinn Emanuel has made across Europe recently, most notably the opening of its second German office in Hamburg in May 2012. This was achieved through hiring IP and antitrust partner Nadine Herrmann and 10 other members of the team from Allen & Overy.

Patent litigator Marcus Grosch, who launched Quinn Emanuel's inaugural German office in Mannheim after joining from Allen & Overy in 2010, has said that the firm will be looking to further expand by opening a third office in Munich or Frankfurt sometime this year.

Quinn Emanuel's London office now has a total of eight partners and 13 associates.
