Meet the Managing IP team: Peter Leung

Peter Leung is Managing IP's Hong Kong-based Asia editor. But he's about to make a big move ...

Peter Leung

Peter is the Hong Kong-based Asia editor of Managing IP. He provides coverage and analysis of IP-related developments around the region. He has interviewed some of the most influential figures in intellectual property around the region and has moderated and spoken at IP-related events such as BIP Asia.

Before becoming a journalist, he was a practising lawyer in the United States, specialising in labour and employment litigation and counselling. He is licensed to practice law in California. Coincidentally, his first case as a junior associate was representing a company against its former employees and their new employers in a trade secrets matter.

In March, Peter will be relocating to Washington DC, where he will serve as Managing IP's new Washington editor. He looks forward to being (slightly) closer to family, DC's high-quality free museums and subways where there is a decent chance of getting a seat.

Recent articles: Asian governments focus on IP and competition issues, Qualcomm and Chinese regulators settle antimonopoly law charges, Gilead's rejected patent application highlights Section 3(d) uncertainties, India court hands down another SEP-based injunction

To access all of the stories published by Peter you will need to be a subscriber to Managing IP. For this week only we are offering up to 30% off subscription to blog readers. Simply register your interest in this offer today and we will be in contact shortly to discuss your options.
