EU Copyright Directive agreed in “present for creatives”
The EU’s institutions have agreed to modernise the rules on copyright in what appears to be a win for content creators, but some have slammed the proposed regime
The European Commission, Parliament and Council announced their political agreement on the Copyright Directive yesterday.
According to the deal, copyright owners and press publishers should find it easier to obtain fair pay from internet platforms when their content is used.
