TLD Holdings, the company that owns Minds + Machines registry, is to register another 20 gTLD application slots, bringing its total number of slots to 40.

The company said the applications are for itself and for its clients. Each slot in Icann’s TLD Application System allows companies to register 50 strings, but TLD Holdings did not specify how many applications it will actually file.

After raising £9 million ($14.2 million) on the stock market, TLD Holdings has a cash balance of $25 million. With this amount, the company could buy 135 gTLDs.

Icann said it has received at least 100 gTLD applications.
