Stoll warns over USPTO funding

Former USPTO commissioner for patents Bob Stoll told patent practitioners Thursday that “we’re taking a calculated risk” implementing the America Invents Act provisions without a guarantee of full funding for the Office

Stoll retired from the Office at the end of last year and now works at law firm Drinker Biddle & Reath. But he spoke from his 30 years of experience with the Office at yesterday’s 6 th Annual Patent Law Institute held by The Practising Law Institute in New York.
