What role do patent applications play in the growth of cities? Evidence from the UK and China suggests there are lessons to learn for urban planners and innovators
On Monday the Centre for Cities, a UK think tank, revealed the five cities that could drive the country’s economic recovery. It based its predictions on the residents’ level of education, the number of business start-ups, projected public sector job losses and the number of patents for every 100,000 inhabitants.
