French court reduces eBay fine

The Paris Court of Appeals has significantly reduced a fine handed out to eBay for allowing counterfeit LVMH goods to be sold on its website
The auction platform will now have to pay €5.7million ($7.3million) to luxury-goods maker LVMH due to the decision by the Parisian court today, which is significantly down from the €38.5million ($49.6million) fine the Tribunal de Commerce ordered eBay to pay in June 2008.
