In China, it registered two GG device trade marks, which have gained a high reputation through years of use. In 2006, Gucci found that women's sandals manufactured by defendant Jiangsu Senda Group Corp Ltd were being sold. A large number of GG device patterns were used on the exterior lining cloth of the inner side of these sandals. Gucci sued Senda for trade mark infringement, demanding that the defendant cease infringement and pay damages.
