Ranjan is the founder and managing partner of RNA, a specialist intellectual property (IP) law firm established in 2004. He has handled contentious and non-contentious IP and technology issues across India and the subcontinent. Ranjan has worked in-house and in private practice, including heading the Indian operations of an international IP law firm. He has been practising as an advocate and patent attorney since 1991 and has handled over 500 IP cases. Ranjan regularly provides strategic advice to international and Indian companies on issues related to the licensing, acquisition, and enforcement of IP rights.
In 2019, Ranjan was invited to join the INTA board of directors for a three-year term. He serves on several committees addressing IP issues affecting businesses and consumers. Ranjan has been consistently ranked as a leading IP practitioner by various leading legal publications, including IP STARS.
Ranjan is a sought-after speaker on IP issues and has authored numerous articles and papers on IP issues and their impact on business and consumers.
