
Ranjan founded the specialist intellectual property (IP) law firm RNA, Technology and IP Attorneys in 2004 and is now its managing partner. He has more than 27 years’ post-qualification IP experience, both contentious and non-contentious. Ranjan has had in-house and international experience. The combination has given him an acute awareness of the need for commercial solutions.
Ranjan advises a wide range of fast-moving consumer goods companies, software companies, start-ups, and fintech companies on IP and technology management issues, focusing on the digital environment. He is recognised as an expert in IP clearance, acquisition, protection, exploitation, and enforcement. Ranjan advises on issues such as domain disputes, data privacy, trade secrets, licensing, and technology transfer.
He has been ranked as a leading IP practitioner by various publications, including IP Stars. Ranjan is regularly invited to speak on IP issues and he has authored several articles and papers. He has also served as a board member with the International Trademark Association.
