Mr. Yukio Oishi focuses his practice on patent prosecution and patent disputes, including patent litigation and patent licensing negotiations.
Before joining TMI, Mr. Oishi was a patent attorney in the intellectual property division of Sony Corporation, specializing in global patent prosecution, patent litigation (especially in the US), and patent licensing negotiations.
Mr. Oishi obtained broad knowledge in the field of computer science at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST) after achieving excellent results that enabled him to skip his fourth year at Osaka University. After graduating from NAIST, he worked as a systems engineer at Nomura Research Institute, Ltd., one of the largest systems integration companies in Japan. Through his academic and practical experience, Mr. Oishi has developed a deep level of knowledge regarding a wide variety of information technologies. With this deep knowledge, Mr. Oishi has handled numerous cases relating to information technology, including patent dispute matters and patent prosecution.
