Mr. Eguchi's practice focuses on all aspects of mechanical patents, including patent prosecution, patent infringement and freedom to operate opinions, as well as validity and pre-litigation analysis. Based on his extensive knowledge of the manufacturing industry, he has represented both domestic and foreign clients in a number of patent applications and invalidation trials.
He regularly provides clients with strategic counsel, opinions of counsel, and advice regarding patent prosecution strategy, including the preparation of written opinions regarding patent infringement and validity. He also assists clients with patent portfolio management, strategic planning, and patent mapping.
In the course of his career, he has received various recognitions and was recognized as an “IP Star” in Japan by Managing Intellectual Property.
