Ruth is the Head of the Patent Prosecution Department. She is an industrial engineer specializing in mechanical engineering with particular expertise in normalization of industrial machinery.
European Patent Attorney since 2011, she is at present an associate partner in the Innovation department of ELZABURU where she is engaged in drafting, prosecuting, and defending patent applications, particularly European patents, Spanish patents and PCTs. She also advises applicants on such matters as prior art searches, patentability issues, and infringement and freedom to operate issues, particularly in the aviation and aerospace industry.
Ruth is a Spanish Council Member of the European Patent Institute (EPI). She is also a regular lecturer in several courses of industrial property law and participates in the coordination of the EPI-CEIPI course in European Patent Law in Madrid.
