Rachel Hooke is a Partner in FB Rice’s Sydney medical technology team and leads both the medical technology and China business teams.
A qualified patent attorney with over 20 years of experience, Rachel advises clients across all aspects of intellectual property. Her work spans drafting and prosecuting multi-jurisdictional patent families through to providing high-level strategic advice on the protection and commercialisation of new technologies.
Rachel is known for her big-picture approach to IP strategy, helping clients build and manage strong international patent portfolios that align with their broader commercial objectives.
Rachel was recognised among the Top 250 Women in IP Worldwide by Managing Intellectual Property in 2021. She has also been named an IP Star for Patent Prosecution by Managing Intellectual Property each year since 2018 and recommended in the IAM Patent 1000 Prosecution rankings since 2019.
