Beata Khaidurova is a Partner in FB Rice’s Melbourne engineering team. She specialises in patents and designs across the electrical, electronics and software sectors, with particular expertise in computer architecture, artificial intelligence, fintech and medical device technologies. Beata advises clients across the full lifecycle of intellectual property rights, including patentability assessments, freedom-to-operate advice, due diligence and patent quality reviews.
Before commencing her career as a patent attorney in 2012, Beata gained industry experience in software development, process system automation, power engineering and medical device technology. She also undertook a secondment as a Senior Patent Consultant at Xero, providing valuable client-side insight into patent strategy and portfolio management.
In recognition of her client service, Beata has been named a Rising Star by Managing IP each year since 2020. She also served on the Elevate Advisory Committee from 2022 to 2024, supporting initiatives to increase the participation of women and underrepresented groups in STEM.
