After obtaining her degree, Carolina worked for five years as a researcher in the field of biotechnology and food science for CSIC (Spanish Council of Scientific Research), the Swiss Federal Institute for Technology Zurich (ETHZ) and McGill University. In 2005, she finished her PhD thesis and took a job at the Spanish biotechnological group Genetrix, where her responsibilities included coordinating research projects and technology transfer. Simultaneously, she started training in patents.
In 2008 Carolina joined ZBM. Located in our office in Madrid her work involves drafting and prosecuting patent applications, as well as performing patentability and freedom to operate studies.
She passed the European Qualifying examination in 2015. She became a partner in 2021.
In 2022, she obtained the European Patent Litigation Certificate which will give her the right to represent clients before the Unified Patent Court.
