Bo Stenhuus is director and head of our patent department. He helps secure and protect patent rights for our Danish and foreign clients.
Bo advises Danish and foreign companies on patenting, objections, infringement assessments, strategies involving intellectual property rights and litigation.
With a technical background as a chemical engineer and Ph.D. accompanied with HD(F) and CBA, Bo advises with special expertise in pharmaceutical technology and medicinal chemistry, electrochemistry, fuel cells, inorganic chemistry, drug delivery, material chemistry, chemical censors, cleantech, organic chemistry, catalysts and diagnostics.
Patenting of green technology is also one of Bo's areas of expertise. He has several clients in the field whom he assists with protecting pioneering innovation and thus supporting the green transition.
Bo has extensive experience from the IPR industry, both as a consultant and as commercial manager for IPR in companies and in the university world. The starting point for his advice is therefore also commercially rooted in the clients' business strategy and development ambitions. The patent and IPR aspect must support the business strategy.
Among other things, Bo has represented University of Copenhagen at WIPO's plenary with a presentation on "incentives other than fee reductions to encourage patenting from universities - developed country experience".
