Firm overview

aera is a European IP consultancy firm, built on Nordic values but with an international perspective. Founded in Copenhagen in January 2018, the firm now has IP attorneys in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Oslo, Aarhus, and Copenhagen and cover all aspects of IP protection.

The name aera is derived from the Latin word for ‘era’ (‘æra’ in Danish). The firm’s mission stems from its name – the firm wishes to create a new era in the IP community and in IP consultancy.

We consider the commercial and technical issues – just as clearly as the legal issues. This is why clients make us their first call, when they require a range of services that include IP counselling, protection, litigation, and IP strategy – or simply just to discuss important business decisions.

The firm strives to provide high quality services to clients that truly use IP strategically and links these strategies to their business needs.

By providing basic prosecution with a fast turnover, along with strategic projects like brand protection, invention harvesting, fast track prosecution, UPC collaborations and IP management, we want to become one of the most wanted IP firms in the region.

In 2024 aera joined the Rouse Group.
