Change to the U.S. ID classification system, which has come under fire for specifications that are said to be too narrow, was among the topics discussed. “There are such specific IDs in there, and they are ridiculous,” USPTO managing attorney Chris A.F. Pedersen told the crowd. Aurora Dungey, of M.J.P. Deans in the UK, said: “Although we speak the same language, we don’t use the same words.”
