19 changes in the new Spanish Patents Act


A new Act coming into force in 2017 introduces some important changes affecting patents and utility models in Spain. Santiago Jordá explains

The new Spanish Patent Act 24/2015, which will replace the current Patent Act 11/1986 of March 20 1986, was passed on July 24 2015 and published in the Official State Bulletin (BOE) of 25 July 2015. However, due to a generous vacatio legis, the new Patent Act will not enter into force until April 1 2017....
