Arab UDRP provider comes online

A fifth provider of UDRP arbitrations for domain name disputes has opened

The Arab Center for Dispute Resolution (ACDR) joins WIPO, NAF, the Czech Arbitration Court and the Asian Domain Name Dispute Resolution Centre. Each provider follows the same policy, but has its own supplemental rules.

The ACDR was approved by Icann last May. It is owned by the non-profit Arab Intellectual Property Mediation and Arbitration Society, whose president is Talal Abu-Ghazaleh.

The legal department at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organisation was involved in setting up the new Center.

ACDR is headquartered in Amman, Jordan.
