Hooper calls for copyright licensing solutions

Richard Hooper, the author of a report into digital licensing in the UK, wants to hear how digital copyright exchanges can be developed and improved
Last month, Hooper published his so-called diagnostic report identifying the difficulties of copyright licensing in the digital environment.
In an interview with Managing IP last week, Hooper said he now wants to hear what people in industry think about digital exchanges: "Those people who feel the diagnosis was fair and reasonable and have answers to it, well I'd love to hear from them. Ideally people would say: 'This is how our industry is working on it, please come and have a look.'"
Such exchanges already exist, such as the Linked Content Coalition, picture libraries such as Getty Images and the planned Global Repertoire Database of music rights.
