Google and Apple rise; Coca-Cola and BP fall in brand value

Google has become the most valuable brand in the world, according to the BrandFinance Global 500 report.

The internet company's brand is worth $44.3 billion, according to the table, putting it ahead of Microsoft, which is worth $42.8 billion.

Other companies that do well in this year's report include Apple and Walmart. Facebook enters the table in 285th place.

But Coca-Cola drops out of the top 10, with a value of $25.8 billion. BP lost $3.4 billion in value since last year and fell 53 places. Nokia's brand lost $9.9 billion in value.
