Skype's flotation document, published yesterday, reveals that its applications for Community trade marks have been opposed by Rupert Murdoch's TV company Sky
The Independent newspaper reports today that Sky has opposed Skype's CTM application, but the internet telephony company will appeal any adverse decision.
According to OHIM's database, Skype has a number of trade mark applications. Its application for SKYPE in classes 9, 38 and 42 (number 004521084), filed on July 1 2005, was opposed by Sky in August 2006.
