Managing IP celebrated the winners of its 2010 awards at a dinner at the Dorchester, London

More than 250 guests attended Managing IP's fifth annual Global Awards Dinner at the Dorchester in London at the end of June, which IP lawyers and patent attorneys coming from as far away as China, Colombia, Mexico and Australia.

More than 50 awards were presented to the leading firms in Europe, Asia and Latin America at the black-tie dinner. The magazine also presented special awards recognising global anti-counterfeiting work and pan-European work in life sciences, new media/internet, patent and trade mark. Baker & McKenzie and Bird & Bird each won three awards.

GlaxoSmithKline was named in-house team of the year and the team's award was presented by the evening's sponsors Adamson and Partners. The company's intellectual property team was recognised for its advocacy in response to the European Commission's inquiry into the pharmaceutical industry, its initiatives to make its drugs more accessible in developing countries and for its legal actions...
