The so-called grey market for goods affects products ranging from Pepsi Cola to iPhones to Viagra. The accounting firm KPMG estimates that the grey market costs the information technology industry more than $40 billion in sales and $5 billion in profits. It has resulted in big losses for brand owners who sell pharmaceuticals, auto parts, medical devices, toys, cigarettes, apparel, cosmetics and personal care products....
