On January 15 the first cooperation protocol was signed between the High Commissioner's Office for the fight against counterfeits and the Italian National Centre for Informatics in Public Administration (CNIPA), to give further impetus to the national anti-counterfeiting strategies.
Thanks to this agreement it will be possible to develop a database to collect, monitor and analyze information regarding counterfeits, as well as to coordinate the databases and the procedures of the various administrations involved in the fight against counterfeiting (for example the Italian Inland Revenue Corps).
Moreover, within the sphere of this cooperation agreement, CNIPA will provide assistance with regard to the use of new anti-counterfeiting technologies and to the accessibility of the services offered by the High Commissioner's Office.
This protocol undoubtedly represents the resolve of Italian institutions to strengthen the fight against this increasingly aggressive phenomenon of counterfeiting and to do so with the most modern and technological instruments.
In this way, from now on both entrepreneurs and the Italian institutions will have more effective and rapid systems available, which are fundamental in the fight against counterfeits where the time and reliability of data is of absolute importance.
