Sudeep joined the firm in the year 2005 as an associate. In the year 2012, when the firm
was restructured into an LLP, he became a Partner. He is now a Senior Partner. He leads a
team comprising 3 Partners, 2 Principal Associates, 3 Senior Associates and 3 Associates.
He handles all infringement matters relating to copyright, designs and trademarks and
domain-related issues. He has dealt with various high-profile cases in Copyright,
Trademarks, Data protection, anti-counterfeiting and UDRP. In addition, he regularly
conducts Civil and Criminal raids vis-à-vis Counterfeiting.
He was a part of the Parliamentary Standing Committees which was constituted to look into
the Copyright Amendment Bill, 2010. He regularly advises the DIPP on copyright-related
issues and is also on their panel.
He is currently the Secretary of APAA(Indian Group) and is also a Council Member besides
a co-chair in the Website Committee.
Since 2008 he has been a part of INTA Committees. Currently he is a member of the
Enforcement Committee as also a member of India Working Group on IP of ICC.
Sudeep has, over the years, received recognition from various media and research houses
globally for his excellence and contribution in the field of IP. He has been consistently ranked
by Managing IP as an "IP Star" since 2016, while Chambers & Partners has ranked him as
a "Leading Individual for IP Litigation in India"since 2017 and WIPR has recognised him
as a "Leader in Trademarks" since 2017. Legal 500 Asia Pacific has listed him as a
"Leading Partner in Intellectual Property Law" since 2018. He was recognised as a
"Distinguished Practitioner in Intellectual Property" by Asia Law in 2024. In 2025, he
was named one of India’s leading IP experts in India IP Experts 2025 – Asia IP for his
work in trademarks, copyright, enforcement, and IP litigation. Benchmark Litigation
Asia-Pacific 2025 recognised him as a "Litigation Star" for his work in IP litigation, and
World Trademark Review recognised him as a "Leading Individual" in both "Prosecution &
Strategy" and "Enforcement & Litigation."
