Biography

With over 20 years’ experience, Pamela advises on a broad range of biotechnology and life sciences subject matter, including antibodies, oncolytic viruses, vaccines, peptide vaccines, therapeutic RNAs, stem cells, diagnostics, personalised medicine and next generation sequencing. She has particular expertise in the complexities of antibody patenting and is known for her insightful, commercially focused approach.

Pamela has substantial experience in contentious matters, including numerous oppositions and appeals before the European Patent Office, often involving multi-party disputes. She has also been involved in litigation in the UK, US and China, and is currently representing defendants in two of the first revocation actions before the Unified Patent Court.

She works across the full lifecycle of biotechnology innovations—from drafting and global prosecution to opposition, enforcement and due diligence. Pamela has advised on several high-profile biotechnology drugs from early development through to commercialisation and has supported clients through IPOs and acquisitions.

Her client base includes global pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms and academic institutions across the UK, US, Japan and beyond. She is a regular visitor to Japan and is known for building strong, long-term relationships with clients worldwide.
