Carol is a trade mark partner in our London team, specialising in brand protection with a focus on enforcement and anti-counterfeiting. Her expertise includes brand management, advising on trade mark filing strategies and dealing with UK, EU, US and international trade mark contentious and non-contentious matters. She advises a diverse clientele, particularly in the FMCG and food and drink industry, including notable clients in the wine and spirits sectors. Before entering private practice, Carol worked in house for 3 years with PepsiCo’s trade mark team in Dallas, USA.
Carol is known for her strategic approach to client management and her ability to balance legal expertise with pragmatic commercial solutions. In the 2025 WTR 1000 rankings, Carol was recognized for delivering "sound commercial advice" that resonates with clients seeking practical and impactful IP strategies. Carol also lends her expertise to the MARQUES Anticounterfeiting and Parallel Trade Team and the INTA Geographical Indications Committee.
Beyond her technical expertise, Carol is deeply committed to mentoring and shaping the next generation of legal talent. Carol is part of the IP Inclusive community and an active member of the Careers in Ideas task force and leads their mentoring scheme for those wanting to enter the IP profession. She actively participates in industry organizations, such as the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (CITMA), and sits on the CITMA Council, the CITMA Paralegal Committee, the CITMA Publication & Communication Committee and the CITMA Review Working Group.
