China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. was incorporated in 1984, accompanying the launch of the Chinese Patent Law. It is one of the first three pioneer IP firms in China. Besides our Hong Kong-based main office, we also have offices in Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai, New York, Tokyo and Munich, forming a global network to provide around-the-clock quality IP services to our clients.
Our strength in IP practice lies in the powerful teamwork of our professionals, who have extensive practical experience, solid technical and academic backgrounds, IP knowledge and industrial experience, and proficiency in various working languages. As a leading IP firm in China, we currently have 550 staff, including 230 patent attorneys, 34 trademark attorneys and 85 attorneys-at-law. All of our IP practitioners are graduates from eminent Chinese or overseas universities and holders of academic degrees in science, engineering, law or language, and most of them have reinforced their expertise through in-service training or overseas internship. Our professionals are thoroughly conversant with the IP practice of mainland China and Hong Kong SAR, knowledgeable about IP-related laws and practices in the United States, Europe and Japan, and proficient in multiple languages, such as Chinese, English, German, French, Japanese, Korean and Cantonese.
