Happy New Year! We hope that you had a restful break and a good start to the year. We’re starting 2017 with MIP International Women’s Leadership Forum, which returns to London for its third year

On February 9, join us and over 200 women at The Waldorf Hilton Hotel in London where you will meet leading IP professionals from all over the world with varied technical backgrounds and levels of experience.

Registration is free for in-house IP/patent counsel, general counsel and heads of legal.

There will be opportunities to hear from industry specialists on topical issues related to brand and design protection, the influence of the digital industry, licensing and commercialisation as well as the importance of leadership.

The Forum will also explore the impact of Brexit in IP on the Unitary Patent and UPC and tips on IP portfolio management from an eclectic panel of leading general and IP counsel. Speakers include immediate past president of IP Federation Carol Arnold, BBC Worldwide’s Eleonore Pieczanski and co-chair of the AIPPI Life Sciences Patent Committee and partner at Dechert, Marianne Schaffner.

One of our panels will be look back to 2016 for lessons learned in the life sciences industry, featuring discussions about The Pfizer Lyrica patent dispute and Merck’s biologics licence application. Later in the day, assistant general counsel at Microsoft Judy Yee and senior IP counsel at Edwards Shaoni Mitchell will give an overview the latest developments in US patent law, IPR and PTAB procedures.

In a new and unique interactive session, you will have an opportunity to network with your peers while  receiving bespoke advance to help you accomplish the most as a woman in the IP profession.
