Where will the UPC be based?

Following recent announcements, we have updated our map showing the locations of the UPC courts and divisions

The Irish government this week confirmed that the country intends to host a local division of the Unified Patent Court in Dublin.

The announcement was welcomed by Irish practitioners, and may prove attractive particularly to US high-tech and pharma companies, many of whom have significant operations in the country.

The map below shows the confirmed locations of the UPC central division, Court of Appeal, mediation and training centres, as well as the locations of local divisions that have already been announced or are expected.

Spain, Poland and Croatia, which are not expected to take part in the UPC at the launch, are shaded pale.

We will update the map when further announcements are made. If you have any relevant information, please let us know using the Comment facility.
