Wu Xiaohui is a senior patent counsel at Wanhuida Intellectual Property. Her areas of technical expertise are biology, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and chemical engineering.
Xiaohui’s experience as the R&D project director at a local pharmaceutical company has equipped her with better understanding and anticipation of the needs of the firm’s biopharma clients in respect of patent prosecution, enforcement, and dispute resolution.
Xiaohui was one of the lead counsels who successfully defended the validity of the patentee's medical use patents before China’s Supreme People’s Court (SPC), a case selected in the SPC’s 50 Exemplary IP Cases of 2022. Her track record also includes helping a pharmaceutical multinational corporation to enforce on two separate occasions its invention patents against infringers offering to sell products exploiting the client’s patents. The cases were selected as one of the National Ten Exemplary Patent Administrative Enforcement Cases in 2018 and 2019 by the China National Intellectual Property Administration.
