Shan Xu

Ms Xu has more than ten years of experience in the field of intellectual property (IP) management. She specialises in patent protection related to software, telecommunications, electromechanical engineering, and medical devices.

Ms Xu began her career as a patent attorney at Kangxin in 2014. During this period, she focused exclusively on patent matters for German clients and accumulated extensive experience in patent applications and re-examinations. In 2020, Ms Xu joined a medical device company as an in-house IP counsel. During her tenure as an IP rights professional, she led multiple lawsuits for infringement of patents, trademarks, and trade secrets. Several of the litigation cases Ms Xu handled were selected as model cases by the court. She also established the company’s patent protection system, overseeing freedom-to-operate analyses and patent strategy for newly developed products.

In 2025, Ms Xu returned to Kangxin as a patent attorney and now focuses on providing clients with comprehensive patent consulting services, including patent validity assessments, invalidation/re-examination proceedings, and high-quality patent prosecution.
