Mingzhao is the president of AFD China. He leads the firm’s strategic management and operation teams.
Mingzhao focuses his practice on intellectual property (IP) matters, including IP prosecution, post-grant proceedings, dispute solutions, litigation, and counselling. He is a patent attorney registered before the China National Intellectual Property Administration and a patent litigation attorney registered before the Supreme People’s Court of China.
Mingzhao obtained his bachelor of engineering degree from Beijing University of Technology and then received systematic R&D training at an R&D company. He has also worked as an IP legal assistant, a patent engineer, a department head, and an assistant general director, while, and after, receiving training on IP rights-related laws and patent and trademark practice at the China IP Training Centre and the All-China Patent Attorneys Association, legal training at several legal training centres, and copyright training at the China Copyright Protection Centre.
