Zacharias Stelzer is a European and Swiss patent attorney and a partner at Blum. His technical expertise covers, among others, mechanics, sensor systems, data processing and medtech.
Mr. Stelzer holds a diploma in geophysics from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany) and a PhD from ETH Zurich for experimental and numerical studies of electrically-driven MHD flow for which he was awarded an ETH medal. After his PhD, he gained professional experience in consulting in the areas of IT systems and business and process analysis with an independent ICT consulting company before joining Blum in 2017.
Due to this background, he combines a thorough understanding of science and technology with a hands-on business approach. His key activities are in the fields of patent prosecution, freedom-to-operate analysis and patent litigation at the Swiss Federal Patent Court.
