Susanne specializes in advising on trademark and design law as well as competition law. Her expertise includes developing and managing extensive trademark portfolios as well as providing strategic advice to clients on trademark and design applications. She also regularly represents clients in and out of court in cases of conflict, notably in trademark and design infringement cases in all courts in Germany as well as before the General Court of the EU. She advises domestic and foreign clients in the field of trademark law and also advises on issues of work title protection and domain law. She also regularly advises clients on license and R&D agreements.
Susanne studied law at the University of Regensburg with a focus on international and European law. She has specialized in intellectual property law ever since her admission to the bar in 2007. She is a certified IP lawyer since 2011. Susanne was a partner at a Munich IP boutique law firm as well as in a large IP law firm in Munich. She has co-founded IP / IT boutique TEAL Rechtsanwälte in Munich, Germany.
Susanne regularly publishes contributions in the field of IP law, including her commentary on “Industrial property law, competition law, copyright law” in Fingerhut, Vertrags- und Formularbuch (14. ed.), 2024 and commentary on “Title protection for film works” in Schwarz, Handbuch Filmrecht (6 ed.) 2021.
As a member of the Publication Committee she contributes to publishing the “ECTA Bulletin” news outlet.
