Steve Borgman is Team Leader of the firm’s Mechanical and Medical Device Patent practice. He is a registered patent attorney and his practice, which spans more than 30 years, includes counseling on a variety of intellectual property matters including mergers and acquisitions, license and technology agreements, and freedom-to-operate opinions. Steve also prosecutes patents and advises clients on their strategies for developing their patent portfolios.
In addition to his transactional practice, Steve has handled a wide range of intellectual property litigation matters in a variety of industries including numerous patent cases in federal courts throughout the U.S. and before the International Trade Commission. Besides patent cases, Steve has experience with trade secrets, copyrights, trademarks, and a wide variety of other types of litigation matters involving a broad range of technologies. He also has significant experience with the arbitration and mediation of intellectual property disputes.
