Mr. Qi Hu has worked in the field of intellectual property since 1985 and co-founded IntellecPro in 1998. Prior to that, he had worked at the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, NTD Patent & Trademark and Kangxin Partners. While at NTD Patent & Trademark, he helped the firm build its trademark and anti counterfeiting department. He was also a co-founder of Kangxi Partners.
Mr. Hu counsels clients in all aspects of IP law, but focuses his work on trademark prosecution, administrative enforcement, civil litigation and licensing. He has extensive experience in advising clients in the areas of IP strategy-making and IP portfolio development. He is also known for his expertise in handling complex infringement cases and has helped clients successfully protect their IP rights in some high-profile cases.
Mr. Hu serves both domestic and foreign clients. He assists domestic clients with brand building and patent portfolio development, and manages their worldwide IP portfolios. At the same time, he helps foreign clients to obtain trademark registrations in China and enforce their IP rights in the country.
Mr. Hu’s clients come from a wide range of industries, including fashion, food and beverages, cosmetics, hospitality and& catering, entertainment, consumer electronics, medical devices, automotive, telecommunication and finance.
Mr. Hu has represented clients such as Apple, Dell, Pepsi, Heineken, Entertainment One, Align Technology, Master Kong, Liby, General Motors (Shanghai), PingAn, ZTE, Bilibli and Meituan.
