Patrik originally joined Zacco in 2006 as a Patent Attorney. Following a few years with other Swedish firms he made the decision to return to Zacco as the Regional Director for Sweden West in 2018. In 2025 he accepted a new role as Group Director Patents within Zacco.
Patrik has extensive expertise in evaluating diverse intellectual asset portfolios, often advising his clients on their overall portfolio strategy, assessing the potential value of rights and offering counsel on how to best capture ideas as they happen. He takes great pride in helping his clients to develop a culture of IP awareness, developing a comprehensive understanding of how they use IP rights and advising them on what options could be available to them.
Alongside offering strategic advice, Patrik works with clients on all other aspects of patents from prosecution and drafting, to novelty searches and claim charting. He can assist with the development of licensing agreements, as well as their negotiations with third parties, and he regularly appears as an experienced patent law expert for clients in trials before the Swedish Patent and Market Court (PMD).
Patrik has a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from KTH and specializes in Wireless Communication, Telecommunications, Internet of Things (IoT), IP Technology, Control and Sensor Systems, Electronics, ML/AI and Computer Programs. He also works within the Automotive and Medtech sectors assisting in a range of related patent matters.
He is an authorised European Patent Attorney (EPA) and member of The Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (EPO).
