Önder Erol Ünsal started his IP career as a Trademark Examiner at the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office in 1997. He served as a member of the Trademark Appeal Board of the Turkish PTO between 2006-2020. He resigned from government service in 2020 and started working as an IP Counsel at the Ankara Patent Bureau. In 2012 he worked for a year at the WIPO International Bureau as an examiner in the Brands and Designs Sector.
Önder is the founder and main writer of Turkey’s biggest and most popular IP Blog “IPR Gezgini”.
Önder has a significant number of IP related articles published in books, journals and blogs. He also gave numerous training and seminars in Turkey and abroad, mainly in the field of trademarks.
