Michael Finn's practice focuses on complex contentious intellectual property and technology matters, as well as domestic and international commercial disputes, with a particular focus on the life sciences and technology sectors.
He has acted in some of Ireland's leading IP, technology and commercial disputes, and has extensive experience advising on Irish Commercial Court litigation and ADR. His litigation practice covers a wide range of matters involving patents, trade marks, copyright, designs, trade secrets and confidential information, often encompassing additional issues such as intermediary liability, data protection, competition and consumer law. He also has significant experience advising on regulatory disputes and investigations, product liability and judicial review.
Michael is experienced in navigating complex multi-jurisdictional mandates before the Irish Courts and brings a collaborative approach to finding the right solution for each matter.
He also has extensive experience in product law and regulation, advising clients on their obligations in the context of bringing products to market as well as addressing unforeseen circumstances such as defects and recalls. He regularly advises on the regulation of medicinal products and medical devices in Ireland, and has developed a strong expertise in managing client interactions with regulators and addressing the regulatory impacts of commercial transactions.
