With more than 25 years’ experience in both in-house and private practice roles, I advise SMEs and multinational companies on the strategic management and development of global patent and design portfolios. I work closely with leadership teams, internal stakeholders and external counsel to align intellectual property strategy with wider commercial priorities, including innovation, investment, market expansion and risk management.
My focus is on developing practical, commercially driven portfolio strategies that help clients decide where intellectual property protection will create the greatest value. This includes establishing portfolio roadmaps, governance frameworks and decision-making processes, as well as coordinating the effective implementation of agreed strategies across multiple jurisdictions.
I have particular expertise in mechanical engineering, packaging technology, building and construction products, contact cleaning, lifting and safety equipment, high-tensile rope, water treatment, household cleaning products, plumbing equipment, roofing systems, contamination containment, offshore oil and gas technology, automotive and aerospace.
