Katja is currently heading our team of IP attorneys specializing in food, agriculture and chemistry. She has technical expertise within the areas of chemistry, biotechnology, food science and technology, food ingredients and immunochemistry/immunology.
She has experience in identification of inventions, drafting and handling patent applications, freedom-to-operate analyses and litigations, and re-establishment of rights. Katja also has special expertise in performing searches in patent and scientific databases. Furthermore, she has experience in developing and using IPR-analyses as a tool for risk assessment and idea generation in processes of development.
Katja is an experienced lecturer on issues relating to patent and IP protection as well as database searches, and has worked as a senior examiner at the DKPTO.
She has successfully completed the CEIPI Course on Patent Litigation in Europe at the University of Strasbourg, and she will therefore receive the European Patent Litigation Certificate under the Unified Patent Court when it enters into force.
